Beach aficionados will treasure the home's easy walk to the superb beach right across the street. The first level features two bedrooms and a rec room with a TV, foosball game, and refrigerator. The second level features four bedrooms and easy access to wide decks with a private hot tub, perfect for soaking under the stars. The third-level great room has a 42-inch flatscreen TV, vaulted ceilings, a half bath, and postcard views. Comfortable furnishings and an entertainment area with a wet bar will keep all guests happy. The well-equipped kitchen with breakfast and nearby dining areas is ready for snacks or fine dining. Banana Wind's wide decks and abundant outdoor furniture provide ample opportunity to enjoy beautiful sunsets. There is an ORV ramp and a public beach with lifeguards located just up the road. Banana Wind now has a pier and dock, ideal for fishing, crabbing, boating, and your favorite water sports! Discover beautiful Banana Wind, a vacation experience. You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement. Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on weather. *If guests plan to bring a boat, it is recommended that you plan to bring a boat no longer than 25 feet, with no more than a two-foot draft and anchored. This dock is great for launching kayaks and there are no tie-offs

We loved staying in Banana Wind about 20 years ago and enjoyed it just as much this time around. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed fishing off the dock every morning! It was a great family vacation!

Banana Wind Home is located directly on the Sound and a beautiful 100 metre boardwalk brings you to the water. While it is an older home, it has been well maintained and well stocked. The new flooring and living room couches on the upper level are lovely.

BANANA WIND HOUSE

We really enjoyed our stay at the Banana Wind house. A plus was that linens were provided. We enjoyed the dock as well. There was plenty of room for the seven of us. We would highly recommend this house for anyone needing individual rooms for their guest. thanks Vacasa

First Rental with Vacasa in the Outer Banks

The Banana Wind home is ideally located with the Sound at the front and the ocean steps away.. perfect for wind sport enthusiasts.. it is well decorated, well stocked inside and out, and so welcoming with ample windows and deck space.

Lots of space for a great price

There were 7 adults and 3 kids on our group. The set up of the house was perfect and gave everyone their own space. The living room and game room are larger than they appear in the pictures. Make sure that you download the hospitality app after you sign the rental agreement. There is a lot of useful information about check in and beach equipment rentals.

Summer 2019

My family had an epic trip. The location was amazing. We brought a 30ft raft to lounge on the sound along with kayaks. The top deck was so big the entire family gathered nightly to see the most amazing sunsets. The home has more than enough things needed to cook and prepare meals. Please visit Portsmouth island tours. That was the most fun we’ve had in a life time enjoying history and collecting huge shells. It’s an ATV tour. We celebrated an engagement, 3 graduates and a 21st birthday. We had over 21 family members fit perfect in the home. The photos and memories we took home with us are wonderful to talk about. I will be booking June of 2020 for another family reunion and to celebrate our last child’s graduation.
